TOPS // Aesculus crop top

A stern little pinstripe with a soft heart.

This one-of-a-kind upcycled halterneck top is handmade from a second-hand men's shirt in an unusual dark brown pinstripe with light blue stripes. I've completely reworked the original shirt into a fitted little halterneck, then added pieces of vintage bridal lace and beading to the front, all carefully hand sewn into place.

The back fastens with corset-style lacing, making the top adjustable so you can alter the fit to suit your body. It's designed to feel comfortable as well as look good, with enough flexibility to move with you rather than simply holding you in place.

I love the contrast between the slightly serious pinstripe fabric and all those tiny bridal details- tailoring meets romance, with a little Wyrd Grl mischief in the middle.

Made entirely from rescued materials, this is the kind of piece that could only exist once: one old shirt, one collection of forgotten embellishments, one completely new life.
